Songwriting can sometimes be like pulling teeth!

Bellyup Tavern - Solana Beach

It has been a few weeks or so since i have come back to my blog. I have been doing a bunch of song writing which I am very happy about. Sometimes it’s like pulling teeth for me but most of the time it flows like a river into a great ocean.

Inspiration comes from personal events and the environment that I choose to place myself in. So a few of the new songs are subconscious thoughts and feelings that lie in my alter ego, and are more or less mind driven.

The difference between these new songs and my older material is that I have been taking more time to craft each song into it’s own world, and making sure that each part of the song (Music & Lyric) make sense. So digging deep inside of myself, and “Pulling out Teeth” is something I have been finding myself do with these new songs, and i like the ideas and themes that are coming out.

I am going to keep this one short. But i have posted a couple of links to some Scratch Demo’s i did of a couple of the songs i really like. So check them out leave me some comments on what you think?

  1. Songs sound great. I do prefer Don’t Give A Hoot a bit faster though.
